Dr. Fauci Bobblehead
He's a stand-up guy, with a face you can trust. Dr. Anthony Fauci -- who has been a key government official in infectious diseases since the HIV/AIDS crisis in the 1980s -- has risen to fame during the COVID-19 pandemic. He is considered a source of unbiased, scientific, factual information about the virus, its transmission, testing, treatment and mitigation.
It's easy to imagine sitting down with him over a beer at a local pub -- if you can tear him away from his 80+ hour a week work schedule. His staff leave him notes on his windshield in the parking lot, telling him to go home.
So it's no surprise that the National Bobblehead Hall of Fame and Museum would create a Dr. Fauci bobblehead, put it out on the internet for pre-orders, and in its first week raise over $100,000 to be donated "to the AHA 100 Million Mask Challenge’s Protect the Heroes fund to provide critical resources for frontline hospital caregivers," according to an article on the American Hospital Association website. "The funds were raised in less than a week as people from all 50 states and over a dozen countries purchased the bobblehead."
