April is the cruelest month
from a Poem-a-Day
series of haiku by
Heather Nelson
Untitled
Tightly cinched quince buds cluster close together, have no need for distance
Insomnia
Wakeful, nocturnal
requires a mind of winter
hearing the nothing
SOS
Message in bottle--
what's the use? Beach is empty
everyone adrift.
Crow's Nest
Swabbing the counters
with Marine Spray Nine I think:
houseboat dream came true
Tableau Vivant
Morning’s apple green.
Citrus sparked, smolders slowly.
Concave center holds.
Monday, Monday
Difficult is good
Rilke reminds me -- have work,
have love, have coffee.
