May Snow
by Michelle Menken
It’s lovelier than forecast
Tender flakes flirting
Like snowfall of petals on
The breeze through their blossoming trees
Pink and pearl as sun washed
Seashells
But now on winter’s outstretched reach
Holding us in gray foreboding
Stay still
Stay silent
You may look but you must
Not touch
Snow falling in the Blossoms of the village of Khyber GOJAL, Gilgit Baltistan
